Stephen Akabway

Stephen Akabway is a finance and audit professional with over 5 years of experience across the financial services, microfinance, public sector, and agribusiness sectors. He holds an MBA from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), a Bachelor of Commerce from Makerere University, and is a CPA Finalist with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.

Currently serving as Finance Manager at Pico Financial Services Uganda Limited, Stephen has previously held roles as Internal Auditor at Development Microfinance, Accountant at Dümmen Orange International, and Accounts Trainee at the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority. He brings strong expertise in financial management, internal audit, compliance, operational controls, financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, and multi-branch financial oversight, with a consistent track record of supporting organisational efficiency, accountability, and strong financial governance.
