Sarah Yvonne Byabazaire is a seasoned financial sector leader with over 20 years of experience in commercial banking and financial sector development in Uganda. She currently serves as Acting Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer at Financial Sector Deepening Uganda, where she leads institutional performance, strategy execution, and stakeholder engagement across the financial ecosystem.
As Board Chairperson of Pico Financial Services, Sarah brings deep expertise in governance, financial oversight, and risk management, underpinned by prior board leadership roles including Chair of VisionFund Uganda and Director at Pearl Marina. Her career spans senior leadership positions at Stanbic Bank Uganda, with a strong focus on SME finance, credit risk, and financial inclusion.
She is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with an MBA, and is committed to strengthening institutional governance, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
